Created during my time helping launch the wrestling streetwear brand COLLARxELBOW, this teaser film was developed as the pre-launch identity piece that set the tone for the entire brand.

The concept centered on the historical origins of the “collar and elbow” wrestling maneuver. Rather than leading with product, the teaser established mythology. The script draws from traditional wrestling language, describing the opening stance as a contest of balance, discipline, and controlled aggression. That narrative foundation positioned the brand not as apparel, but as a representation of wrestling’s heritage and grit.

Visually, the piece was shot handheld in a single afternoon with a raw, kinetic approach. The camera follows garments being printed, ink pressed into fabric, and materials handled in real time. The gritty, documentary style reinforced authenticity and underground credibility. Music and voiceover were layered to create tension and anticipation rather than overt promotion.

Creative responsibilities included:
• Writing the original script
• Developing the brand positioning concept
• Sourcing and directing voice talent
• Shooting the teaser on location
• Editing and structuring the final piece

The goal was not immediate sales. It was identity. The teaser introduced COLLARxELBOW as a brand rooted in wrestling tradition, discipline, and craftsmanship. It became one of the foundational creative assets used to establish tone ahead of the official launch.

This project demonstrates:
• Brand-first storytelling
• Mythology-driven positioning
• Lean, high-impact production
• Building anticipation before product release
• Establishing visual language for a new brand

The final piece helped define COLLARxELBOW’s aesthetic and voice before the first major announcement, giving the launch cultural context rather than just product visibility.
